I clicked grade 4 science and then selected life systems. The first one to pop up of the 15 hits was called: Extreme Ostrich Makeover

It was great. I would use this activity or create my own for a different animal. I love the language because it really helps grade fours feel like they are junior learners now - it is clear that the expectations are higher.

I wouldn't use the whole site because I don't know how to help students create a power point presentation like the examples but I would use these ideas for kids to see how they could organize their project.

Now I'm off to read some more.

It's Maria again. I went back to grade four science life systems and found a few more lessons similar to the first one. They are all equally great. I will use of these. The additional lessons I really like are:

1. Imaginary Animals
2. I am Pond of You
3. Bugs Alive

I still haven't read the lessons on food chains.
