The CBC Archives



The CBC Digital Archives will allow you to locate video support for your curriculum. Search through the archives and locate a clip that you might use for your classroom program. Comment on which clip, and how you might use it!

The Ontario Educational Resource Bank, (the OERB), is a fabulous repository of online lessons and activities available to students and teachers.
Login to the site and search by grade, subject, or expectation.
Submit a comment if you find something suitable for your classroom situation and explain how you might use it!

We had a nice introduction to copyright and the importance of teaching our students to draw their own pictures, take their own photos, or use sites that are copyright free. Here is a list of some places to get resources for putting on your blog or wiki:

Remove the Navigation Bar

To Remove the Navigation Bar from your Blog on Blogger follow these steps:

1. From the dashboard, click Layout.

2. From the template tab, click Edit Item

3. Scroll a few lines deown the html until you find the Template Style. After the template style statement, enter or paste - #navbar-iframe{display: none !important;}

Online Stories





Click on the Storylineonline link and check out the site.


One strategy that can be used with online books is to have your students select a book at their level, and then do a Retell, Relate, and Reflect or Text to Text, Text to Self, and Text to World entry on the blog.


Brainstorm another strategy on how you could possibly use online books with your students!

Click on eWorkshop and then click on the link to Active Learning - Technology





Then click on the Table of Contents and select one of the headings. Read the link and reflect upon the information.
