I just looked at http://commentchallenge.wikispaces.com/Student+Groups

Things are "a-twitter" What IS that!!!???

Here students are challenged to make the most, longest best comments on a string of posts. My kids would LOVE this. Now, how to get into RSS feeds?

It's all about portfolios, Digital portfolios, writing and reading. This, in my opinion, is another way to et children to read and write their responses.

This is my favourite quotation from that page:
"So, when my students ask 'What are we going to use our blogs for?’ I smile. My response includes, 'Blogging will change the way you view the world, blogging will change the way you interact with the world. Blogging is just the beginning of how you will have an impact on the world....one post and one interaction at a time."

You can listen the stories from this blog. Mainly children stories for your kids. I can use for my students. I can replace the tape recorder in my classroom.

Classroom Displays

http://usefulwiki.com/displays/

This blog is all about different ideas for bulletin boards and classroom displays from all over the world. There are lots of pictures of said displays. I think that this site could be inspiring/useful for a lot of reasons. First, everyone knows that what we put up on the walls inside and outside our rooms can do a lot to engage and acknowledge kids' thinking and creativity, but sometimes, there is so much to do that you feel like you don't have time to come up with a great display idea. So here are lots of them, with pictures to help you too. Also, looking at the displays and the descriptions on the blog could help you to come up with more teaching ideas as well. It is not overcrowded with endless blogrolls and links, nor is there excessive advertising. The design is simple, which helps to keep you focused when browsing.

Title: Nicholas Senn H.S. Library

URL: http://sennlibrary.blogspot.com/

I love this site. The first page is so visually amazing to me. I love the globe. It really makes me want to go in and explore. I'm kind of thinking about getting qualified to teach high school. I would love to interact with kids like this. I can't wait to see how it works in elementary school (K-5). I was drawn to this site because my goal is to create a blog for kids to post book reviews and recommend books they have read and comment on what others are reading. I think it would also be cool to have a blog asking kids to make suggestions on how we can improve our library and our school.

The only draw back I found is that it has so much information in it that I kept getting lost. I think I would like to start off much smaller. But, having said that, it is something to aspire to.
